A vehicle can be more than a way to get from one place to another. When donated to Texas Girls & Boys Ranch, it can become a practical resource that helps us continue caring for children and families in our community.

Texas Girls & Boys Ranch may accept donations of new or used vehicles, including cars, trucks, vans, tractors, and other vehicles that are in good working condition and appropriate for the needs of our organization.

Depending on current needs, donated vehicles may be used directly by Texas Girls & Boys Ranch, provided to an individual or family we serve when appropriate, or sold with the proceeds benefiting our programs and mission.

Charitable Giving & Tax Considerations

Vehicle donations may qualify for a charitable tax deduction. The amount and documentation required can vary depending on the value of the vehicle and how it is ultimately used or sold.

The IRS has specific requirements for certain non-cash charitable contributions, including tangible property valued at $5,000 or more. An independent appraisal may be required and is generally the responsibility of the donor.
